The Barking and Dagenham Access Group have learned that Transport for London (TFL)
have temporarily dropped the Congestion Charging exemption application fee, for Blue Badge holders.
If you want to save the £10 fee, you have until the 19th February 2007 to get your application form back to TFL.
We were unable to find information on their website www.cclondon.com about the saving. Several areas on their site and on the application form still say there is a charge. When we first phoned we were told incorrectly, that there is a charge. Our second call to the cclondon.com help line proved more successful and we were correctly informed of the discount. So if you have any difficulty, do not be put off.
We contacted John Mead the TFL Congestion Charging Business Operations Manager. After our initial enquiry he asked the website department to create a web page to promote the discount and assured us that anyone who has already applied during the promotion period will not have their cheques cashed or credit and debit cards charged.
The updated web page can be reached from the cclondon.com website.
